The Complexities of Chronic Health Challenges

You are a multidimensional being, and so is your health!

Chronic health challenges are a growing concern in today's society. From autoimmune diseases to chronic pain, it seems like more and more people are suffering from conditions that seem untreatable. While modern medicine can provide treatments to alleviate some symptoms, many individuals are left feeling hopeless and frustrated as they struggle with these conditions on a daily basis for years and years.

For my own healing journey that took decades, I can’t tell you how many rock bottoms I hit after another round with doctors that, in the end, could not really help, not enough anyway. The truth is that the healing of chronic health challenges is not always straightforward. It requires addressing the complexities of the condition, including both internal and external factors that contribute to the problem. It requires understanding that the root cause(s) are not always physical.

One of the primary reasons for the complexity of chronic health challenges is the presence of underlying beliefs or unresolved traumas. Traumas can have long-lasting impacts on an individual's mental, emotional, AND physical health. They can contribute to anxiety, depression, chronic physical symptoms, and even chronic pain. Sometimes the crux of it is not all that traumatizing when viewed through the eyes of an adult, but to the child within us, it made a significant impact that is still active today, albeit beneath the surface. Identifying and addressing these underlying beliefs or traumas through hypnotherapy or other forms of therapy can be a crucial step in healing.

Another internal factor that can contribute to chronic health challenges is negative self-talk or pessimism. Negative thoughts can create dissonance within the body, which can manifest in various forms of pain or imbalances. Practicing positive self-talk and re-framing negative thoughts can be an effective way to reduce this dissonance and promote healing.

In addition to internal factors, external factors can also contribute to chronic health challenges. For example, sensitivities to certain foods or chemical substances can lead to chronic health issues. Identifying and avoiding these triggers can help to reduce symptoms and improve overall health.

Another option is to reprogram the triggers. When using hypnotherapy with myself and my clients, it is amazing how many times a 'trigger' can be traced back to an underlying belief and when that is addressed, the trigger disappears. This does not work in all cases, but for myself, addressing food sensitivities in this way paved the way for dramatic improvements in my ability to eat a wider variety of foods. Also, in my case and for others, a focus on rebuilding my digestive system at a physical level was just as important.

The combined approach of psychological, physical, and energetic created the big shift, for me. And this highlights the necessity to approach chronic health issues across multiple dimensions.

Energetic interferences are another external factor that can contribute to chronic health challenges. This includes sources such as wifi routers, smart meters, and other electronic devices. While there is limited research on the effects of these interferences on human health, some individuals report experiencing symptoms such as headaches, fatigue, and brain fog. Reducing exposure to these interferences can be an important step in improving health.

Lastly, other factors such as stressful situations, poor eating habits, lack of exercise, and other lifestyle factors can also contribute to chronic health challenges. Addressing these factors can involve implementing healthy habits, reducing stress, and creating a supportive environment for healing.

Overall, healing chronic health challenges requires a comprehensive, multi-pronged approach that addresses both internal and external factors. Here are some steps that can be taken to promote healing:

  1. Identify the root causes: The first step in healing is to identify the root causes of the condition. This may involve working with a healthcare practitioner or therapist to explore underlying beliefs or traumas that may be contributing to the condition.

  2. Address internal factors: Once the root causes have been identified, it is important to address internal factors such as negative self-talk and pessimism. Practicing positive self-talk and re-framing negative thoughts can help to reduce dissonance within the body and promote healing.

  3. Avoid or address triggers: External factors such as food sensitivities and energetic interferences should be identified and avoided whenever possible. This may involve working with a healthcare practitioner to identify potential triggers and develop a plan for avoiding them. Another option for some cases is to uninstall the trigger. Tapping into the power of the subconscious mind can yield remarkable results here.

  4. Create a supportive environment: Lifestyle factors such as stress, poor eating habits, and lack of exercise should be addressed to create a supportive environment for healing. This may involve making changes to one's daily routine or seeking support from friends and family.

  5. Consider an energy routine: The universe is fundamentally energy and so are we. Incorporating an exercise routine that also focuses on energy flow, like QiGong, TaiChi or Yoga, can really help repattern and reprogram your body and create more 'room' for healing.

  6. Consider alternative therapies: Alternative therapies such as hypnotherapy, acupuncture, or energy healing may be helpful in promoting healing. These therapies can help to address both internal and external factors that contribute to chronic health challenges.

In conclusion, healing chronic health challenges can be complex and multifaceted. It requires a comprehensive approach that addresses both internal and external factors across psychological, physical, and energetic dimensions. By identifying the root causes of the condition and addressing underlying beliefs or traumas, reducing external interferences and making adjustments to lifestyle routines, one can dramatically reduce the burden of chronic health challenges.

In my own pursuit of wellbeing I did not make any significant improvement until I identified the root causes that occurred early in my life. This happened over time as I had several things to unpack before things really shifted for me. If I had worked solely at the physical level with diet, exercise and medication, for instance, I would not be where I am today as a functioning and hopeful human.

Moreover, if I had worked solely at the psychological level, I would not be where I am today. I had to address my illnesses from all dimensions to reach the level of cognitive, physical and psychological health I enjoy today. And, honestly, I still have work to do. I am a work in progress. I feel this is a lifelong pursuit and a part of why we are here, to keep exploring and changing. But I am so, so much better today than I used to be, and I am very grateful for that.
